About us

Graig Wen is the perfect rural retreat for walkers, bird-watchers, mountain bikers/cyclists, artists, photographers and star-gazers. Children will love the freedom to scramble around and find natural treasures. Choose from our beautiful Bed and Breakfast accommodation, comfortable holiday cottage, camp site or yurts.

The converted Victorian slate cutting mill perches above 40 acres of wild woodland and pasture leading down to the water. Watch the buzzards wheel overhead or hang out with the herons.

Explore the wild west of Wales

From Graig Wen you can step straight onto the coastal Mawddach cycle trail, and explore upland walks in the forest and foothills. The spectacular Cadair Idris mountain rises steeply behind us and there are magnificent views towards Barmouth's bridge and sandy beaches. Coed-y- Brenin's challenging mountain bike routes, Portmeirion and Harlech Castle are all within easy reach.

You'll find natural beauty in this quiet corner of Snowdonia National Park whatever time of year you visit – bluebells in spring, summer sunsets, phenomenal autumn colours and sparkling winter mornings.
