Yurts holidays in Wales
Staying in a yurt is an extraordinary way to experience this undiscovered corner of Snowdonia National Park, near Barmouth and Dolgellau. Two of these furnished, round canvas tents are available for rent on our camp site between March and October. Inspired by Mongolian yurts, our yurt frames are home grown from ash trees on our own woodland. The domed yurts are sited on decked platforms in a secluded glade of silver birches overlooking the Mawddach estuary and mountains. Perfect for a romantic retreat or family adventure - cool in summer, cosy in the autumn.
You can choose from one large yurt and one smaller yurt. In July and August we also have a beautiful, simply furnished bell tent available for rent. The bell tent sleeps up to four people.
Yurt features:
- wood-burning stove inside, camp fire outside
- simple cooking facilities on 2 ring camping gas stove with pans, plates, cutlery and utensils
- cool box and fridge access for freezing ice blocks
- futon beds, rugs and floor cushions - bring your own bedding, pillows and towels or hire from us in advance
- decking and outdoor seating area.
- showers and toilets nearby on camp site
- for a five star yurt camping experience we can provide a Mawddach breakfast hamper or Snowdonia snack hamper brought to your door or a bottle of chilled bubbly for your arrival (£25). You can pre-order breakfast croissants for collection
- yurts available from March until the end of October
- well behaved dogs on leads welcome (£10 charge/dog)
Bring your torch and listen out for owls and other creatures of the night.
