Further up is Penmaenpool, the end of stage 1 and the start of the next phase.

What is the Traws Eryri?

Traws Eryri is Wales’ newest cycling and backpacking route through stunning Eryri National Park. Spanning 122 miles or 200 kilometres, it’s an off-road journey that offers you some of the best the Snowdonia region has to offer.

How Hard is Traws Eryri?

The route is for experienced and cyclists with a good level of fitness. You’ll be going through the mountainous landscape of Eryri National Park, so expect lots of inclines and rugged terrain. Set your mountain bike for low gears and take on the challenge!

How Technical is Traws Eryri?

Traws Eryri is about moderately technical, with some steep and rocky sections requiring a good level of handling.

How Long Does it Take to Complete Traws Eryri?

It will take you roughly 3-5 days to complete, depending on your fitness level and if you want to stop and take in the sights at any point. Expect to cycle 6 hours a day to reach each stage of the trail. Be sure to plan your days ahead, and book a campsite for each stop on this Snowdonia cycling holiday.
