Campsites Snowdonia

Our Snowdonia campsite in Eryri National Park, North Wales is near Barmouth and Dolgellau on the beautiful Mawddach Estuary. Choose from hardstanding pitches for camper vans and small caravans with electric hook up or nearly wild tent camping in stunning meadows. There is direct access to the Mawddach Trail down a steepish track.

Graig Wen has been recommended as one of the best campsites Snowdoniaby many national media.  We are proud to have won the Go North Wales Award for Best Camping Snowdonia, Glamping, Caravan Site twice. Graig Wen is a fantastic location for Snowdonia holidays with walks from the door to the coast, waterfalls and hills with attractions and activities nearby. We also have yurts and shepherd’s huts if you’re looking for a self catering holiday Wales.

Dogs on leads are welcome, making it a great pet friendly accommodation in Snowdonia.

Camp Sites Snowdonia open for Camper vans from 1st March – early January

We are open for camper vans, small caravans and roof tents from 1 March until early January. Our tent camping fields open 1 May – 30 September but we can usually find room for a bike packer or back packer for a night if you get in touch.

Different Areas for Tents and Camper Vans

Our peaceful Snowdonia camping site has two different areas for tents and vans. If you click the link you can see the full site map with aerial photos. Please note there is no access to the lower tent camping fields for camper vans, caravans or trailer tents as the track is too steep.

With a nearby train station and bus stop by the site, Graig Wen is a great choice for car-free holidays and green travel holidays.
