Choosing Eco Glamping Wales

Choose eco glamping in Wales and you’re in for a unique experience in the mountains and coast of Snowdonia / Eryri National Park.

We started our North Wales glamping site before “glamping” was really a thing. Now, there are more sites offering many different kinds of glamping experiences. So what is right for you?

Whether you’re looking for family glamping North Wales, nearly wild camping or a glamping break for 2, here’s our guide to help you decide.

What to expect from a glamping Snowdonia holiday at Graig Wen:

  • waking up to a wildly beautiful location
  • a choice of yurt holidays and stylishly designed shepherd’s huts – 8 units – all different!
  • 40 acres of woods and meadows offering different glamping experiences in different locations – from easy access to pretty glades and secret, secluded spots

  • fabulously scenic walks and bike rides right from the site to beaches, waterfalls and hills
  • wondrous ancient trees, birdsong and wildlife all around you
  • cosy pubs, cafes, shops and attractive Snowdonia villages within 10 minutes drive

Wales glamping holidays at Graig Wen are all about an individual experience in an outstanding location, the wild landscape and getting out exploring.

What are the facilities like?

For some people, glamping isn’t glamping without a hot tub. In that case we’re not the site for you.

A range of simple but very clean and eco friendly facilities is what we offer.

  • All our glamping accommodation has a private kitchenette with all cooking equipment provided
  • Most have a private compost loo (some have a private hot shower too)
  • Everyone has access to the washing facilities, conventional loos, hot showers, shop/reception shared with campers
  • Empress wagon has an en suite conventional loo and hot shower
  • Heating is provided by either woodburning stoves or infrared electric heaters in the wagons.

You can easily see what will suit you best by checking the facilities symbols on the page about each glamping unit.

How do I choose my glamping Snowdonia experience?
